Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has posted a photograph of a bloodstained guitar ahead of the band's comeback to the stage next month in Mexico.
The Facebook post was accompanied by the word: "First practice. Been too long. Look out, Mexico. Xoxo Dave". Scroll down to see the full image.
Foo Fighters haven't played a live date since September 2012 and make their return on December 13th at Mexico's 55,000 capacity Foro Sol stadium with support from The National.
Foo Fighters are expected to begin work on their next album - their eighth - early next year and hope to release it before the end of 2014.
Speaking to XFM in August, Dave Grohl said: "It's a little way off. It's not ready to happen right now, but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question. We are going to make this album in a way that no-one's ever done before, and we're pretty excited about it."
