Dave Grohl has returned from the UK, where he was promoting his new movie Sound City, to begin work on the bands next album - their eighth.
After appearing at the Brit Awards earlier in the week, and playing a gig in London's Kentish Town Forum with the Sound City Players, Grohl appears to have abandoned plans to put Foo Fighters on hiatus, as was rumoured last year, in favour of returning to action as soon as possible.
Speaking to host James Cordon at the Brits, Grohl confirmed: "I return to Los Angeles tomorrow to start work on a new Foo Fighters record." When questioned as to when it might come out, Grohl's cryptic reply was "eventually."
Grohl has previously stated that the band have "really awesome, big plans for the next album and I'm really excited about it."
