Alan McGee, the man who first signed Oasis to a record deal, has reiterated that the Britpop icons will not reform in 2014 in spite of suggestions in the media that they would consider it.
2014 will be the 20th anniversary of Oasis's debut album 'Definitely Maybe' and rumours have been floating about that the Liam and Noel Gallagher will put aside their differences - temporarily at least - and headline next summer's Glastonbury festival. Sounds good, right? Not so fast..
When asked by the BBC whether or not he could see a reformation happening, McGee said: "Yeah, I think they'll come back at some point but I don't think it's going to be next year or anything. If they get back together I'm sure it would be for a megabucks tour."
Of the two Gallagher brothers, Liam seems the one who's most open to a reunion but Noel has continually scotched the rumours - but did say he'd consider it if he was completely broke.
If the recent tours by the likes of Blur and the Stone Roses are anything to go by, there'd be a whooooole lot of money in an Oasis reunion. But do they need it? According to Noel, no, they don't.
