If you're heading along to see Coldplay on their 'Music of the Spheres' tour dates at Dublin's Croke Park, you can expect to hear a couple of new songs in the mix.

Chris Martin and co. have announced the release date of their forthcoming album 'Moon Music', which is set for release on October 4th. It's the follow-up to 2021's 'Music of the Spheres' and is their 10th studio album.

The first single from the album, 'feelslikeimfallinginlove', will be released this coming Friday.

The album was produced by pop svengali Max Martin, and true to the band's commitment to lowering their carbon footprint, it will be the world's first album released as a 140g EcoRecord rPET LP. Each copy contains nine recycled PET-plastic bottles recovered from post-consumer waste, which marks a massive reduction in the CO2 emissions/kg compared to manufacturing a traditional 140g vinyl.

They are also teaming up with The Ocean Cleanup to release a special edition Notebook Edition EcoRecord rPET LP, which is made of plastic recovered from the Rio Las Vacas river in Guatemala.

The CD version, meanwhile, will be the first EcoCD, created from 90% recycled polycarbonate - again marking a vast reduction in Co2 emissions compared to standard CD production.

Their two-year-long 'Music of the Spheres' tour ends in November 2024 and hits Dublin on August 29th & 30th, and September 1st & 2nd.
