Our friends over at Goldenplec.com have organised a rather cool event for the benefit of Down Syndrome Ireland - Coast To Coast: Tea and Toast. And what is that exactly? Well, on March 29th next Team Goldenplec will travel from Dublin to Galway, meeting a band in each county on the route for a cup of tea, a slice of toast and a one song gig to be recorded on a camera phone.
The videos will then be uploaded to Goldenplec.com where you can donate money to the good cause, with each donation in excess of €5 gaining you automatic entry to a draw to win some swanky prizes.
The journey will culminate with a show in Whelan's on Saturday 30th March featuring Shadowplay, Elaine Mai and The Dirty 9s.
