With less than two weeks to go until the big day there's no denying that we're now well and truly in the season to be jolly. Christmas jumpers are everywhere, the shops and streets in the city are choked with foot traffic and, if you're anything like me, a mild sensation of panic is starting to set in because of the serious lack of Christmas shopping done by now.
But in the midst of all of this festive madness, we hope you still have time to whistle a happy Christmas tune to yourself - and where better to do so than by tuning in to Christmas FM? The lads over there are putting the final touches on their annual Christmas Song Contest and preparing to make a final shortlist of six songs available for public vote.
The shortlist of six songs was whittled down from over 120 entries and a crack team of panellists (of which yours truly was one) have made our choices and now (well, tomorrow) it's up to you fine folk out there to make an Irish band's Christmas dreams come true.
The eventual winner will receive €500 worth of audio gear from X-Music and will be playlisted on the station.
