'Driving Home for Christmas' singer Chris Rea was forced to cancel a planned gig in Brighton last night after collapsing on stage on Saturday.
Rea was playing a gig in Oxford on Saturday night when he collapsed mid-gig, with one audience member describing the scene as the 66-year-old musician 'falling into a clump'. Another gig-goer revealed that he had been 'slurring his words a lot' just before collapsing 45 minutes into the gig.
Rea - best known for songs like 'Road to Hell' and 'Fool (If You Think It's Over)' suffered a stroke last year. He is believed to be in a stable condition.
