Chris Brown sticker stunt may have increased album sales
A spokesperson for HMV has responded to the images posted online of Chris Brown's latest album which was defaced with stickers warning against buying the album, saying the stunt most likely backfired by inadvertently promoting the album.
Brown's 'Fortune' album was photographed with stickers reading "Warning. Do not buy this album! This man beats women". The spokesperson told NME that although the person "got their point across effectively", it unintentionally boosted Brown's profile and could lead to an increase in sales.
Well, dang. That didn't work.
