Chris Brown has opened up in an interview with US chat show Today about what he went through in the aftermath of his vicious beating of girlfriend Rihanna prior the 2009 Grammy Awards.
"From me losing everything, to me having to regain public opinion or whatever it is - but most importantly, you know, knowing that what I did was totally wrong and having to kind of deal with myself and kind of forgive myself in the same breath and being to apologise to, you know, Rihanna and be that man that can be who is a man, you know?" (sic)
Come again, Christopher? Not entirely sure what the last part of that means, but we're fairly certain that Brown has taken to playing the victim role in this incident and not, you know, his girlfriend who he sent to hospital.
Brown also spoke about how he regained Rihanna's trust after they began seeing each other again last year: "I think it's just me proving myself once again. Knowing that what I did was wrong, and never doing it again", he said.
As for the negative public reaction Brown has endured ever since? "I think everybody is entitled to their opinion. For me, it's just a learning process."
Our heart bleeds for Chris, you poor bastard.
