The man formerly known as Cat Stevens is heading back out on the road for the first time in an astonishing 33 years. Yusuf Islam will begin his 4 date Take My Time Tour at The O2 here in Dublin, before visiting Birmingham, Liverpool and London.
With the official announcement still pending, a post on Islam's website reads:
'It’s been a long wait, and fans are about to see why. As one would expect from such an innovative and unpredictable artist, it’s not a tour in the usual sense. With his return to the acoustic guitar, Yusuf is expected to offer audiences a taste of his timeless hits as well as music from his highly acclaimed new albums, An Other Cup and Roadsinger. Incorporating an exciting mix of concert and musical storytelling, the unique performance will also provide a special surprise connected to the musical, Moonshadow.'
Yusuf released his latest album 'Roadsinger' earlier this year. Having never played in Ireland before, it seems fitting that Yusuf Islam will kick off the tour with a fully seated performance at Dublin's O2 on November 15th. Tickets priced €76.20-€93.70 go on sale next Monday September 21st at 9am.
