However, the pop star is on the comeback trail and her new album is '80 percent done', according to her manager.
What's more, Larry Rudolph said during an interview with the Las Vegas Sun that her new sound is 'Britney meets The Weeknd'. Colour us intrigued.
A release date for the follow-up to 2013's 'Britney Jean' has yet to be announced, although her Las Vegas residency is set to run until 2017 - so it could be next year by the time we hear it.
