Following his work on the score for the upcoming Wes Anderson adaptation of Roald Dahl's 'Fantastic Mr Fox', it seems Jarvis Cocker has another film project up his sleeve. The former Pulp frontman has written three songs for the 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' spinoff movie 'Get Him To The Greek', and they'll be sung by noneother than comedian, presenter and star of the film Russell Brand.

Presumably, the whole point of this movie is to give more screen time to Brand, and his fallen rock star character Aldous Snow, which won the hearts of many during 'Sarah Marshall'. The film is once again the product of writer and actor Jason Segel and director Nicholas Stoller

Cocker told Billboard.com that the songs are 'rather sill, but it's a silly film'. 'Get Him To The Greek' is set for release in the summer of 2010.
