A new Atomic Kitten album is on the way, according to Kerry Katona.

The singer told The Sun that she and her two bandmates would be entering a recording studio next year to commit some new songs to tape and an album will be released at some point. The original trio of Katona, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon reunited in 2012 for The Big Reunion TV show, but they have not recorded together since the 200 debut album 'Right Now' - after which Katona left and was replaced by Jenny Frost.

"The new music will be the original signature sound, which is cheesy pop," she said. "That's what people loved. We can't try and go funky when we're competing with the likes of Rihanna and Beyoncé."
