Bob Dylan will release his 35th album Tempest in September, 50 years after the legendary musician debuted as a recording artist. Dylan's self-titled first record was released by Columbia in March of 1962.
Tempest will contain 10 tracks and was produced by Dylan under the moniker 'Jack Frost'. It comes three years removed from Dylan's most recent album Together Through Life.
Dylan's last four albums have been hailed as some of the best of his storied career. 2006's Modern Times won Dylan two Grammy awards and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. Its follow-up Together Through Life was the first Dylan record to ever debut at #1 in the US and the UK and has gone on to shift well over a million units.
One track which is known to be on the new record is a sprawling 14 minute epic about the sinking of the Titanic.
