So much for the Britpop Blur v Oasis rivalry, huh? Appearing on the Ray D'Arcy show on Today FM earlier this morning, James dispelled the notion that Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn have kept up the feud which dominated so much of the music press in the 90's. Albarn and Gallagher have even appeared on stage together, prompting Noel's younger, more grumpy brother Liam to suggest that their appearance was the final nail in the coffin of Britpop.
Meanwhile, James chatted to Ray about a wide range of subjects ranging from their first Dublin gig in years, on how Blur splitting up was the best thing they ever did and much more. You can listen to the show here, just skip to around the 25 minute mark.
Blur will play their only UK & Ireland date of the year when they take to the stage at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham on August 1st with support from Bat For Lashes and The Strypes.
