Speculation that Blur are about to announce a new studio album is mounting after a cover of their supposed comeback record was featured in today's Sun.

The newspaper's Associate Head of Showbiz, Tom Thorogood, posted the clipping on his Instagram account, which you can see below.

The accompanying text references the Chinese New Year, claiming that the last time the band in question released an album was also the Year of the Goat. Although Blur have released several songs - Fool's Day and Under the Westway - since their reunion in 2008 - their last album of new material was 2003's 'Think Think'. And like 2015, 2003 was also known as the Year of the Goat.

The neon Mandarin lettering on the album apparently translates to 'Blur Magic Whip', which is kind of a dead giveaway.

According to the Sun, more details will be revealed tomorrow...

UPDATE [14:13]: the band have confirmed in a live press conference that they'll play London's Hyde Park on June 20th and that 'The Magic Whip' will be released on April 27th (24th in Ireland).

The tracklisting is:

'Lonesome Street'
'New World Towers'
'Go Out'
'Ice Cream Man'
'I Thought I Was a Spaceman'
'I Broadcast'
'My Terracotta Heart'
'There Are Too Many of Us'
'Ghost Ship'
