Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has said that he is considering undergoing hypnotherapy to help diminish his fear of flying so he can undergo a regular touring schedule. Barker developed this fear following a plane crash in 2008, which claimed the lives of two of his travelling party, and suffered severe burns while escaping the wreckage.

"Unfortunately I can't do as much touring as I would like as I don't fly", Barker was quoted as saying by Rolling Stone. "It's an obstacle. I'm working on it though. I'm trying to get hypnotised, trying to talk to a doctor who retrains your brain. Maybe he'll help me fly again one day."

Barker also revealed that the accident has led to him leading a healthier life, urging him to quit a painkiller addiction that he has developed years before. "I can proudly say I didn't even take any pain medication after I got out of hospital. They told me I'd be on some medicine for the rest of my life, but I got off all of them. They made me a completely different person."
