On the evidence of this album Blink-182 seem to be on a mission to make the most puerile, gormless pop music ever recorded - and making a pretty good job of it, too. Their supporters would say they capture a certain kind of young male angst, but to others it all sounds suspiciously like a giant in-joke. You can see why the Californian trio are so popular in some quarters; they bang out their fast, catchy punk-pop tunes with evident gusto and their crass, cheeky lyrics are amusing in a South Park kind of way. They'll surely be forgotten in a year's time but until then they deserve their fifteen minutes of fame.
