Californian band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have announced details of a show in Dublin’s Academy, slated for March 11th next year. The garage rock outfit last played on this island almost exactly two years ago, again at the Academy.
The band’s as-yet-untitled new album, their first since 2010’s Beat The Devil’s Tattoo, is slated for release next year. Since the band’s debut release in 2001 Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have released six albums all to critical acclaim, released two live DVD’s including 2010’s ‘Live in London’ and saw them tour across the world.
On the new album and tour dates, lead singer Robert Levon said:
“This album has taken every last ounce of us to bring to life, and if it wasn't for you guys keeping us going, we don't know if it would've ever seen the light of day. It's going to be a joyful day indeed when we get to see you all again and share these songs with you. Peter, Leah and myself are dying to get out of this studio right now and back into the fight. It's taken us a long while getting back on our feet, but the time has come."
