If you were still holding out hope that somehow, Billy Corgan and D'Arcy Wretzky would find a way through their issues and give us the Smashing Pumpkins reunion that we want, there's bad news.
Corgan has spoken about the recent incidents - which saw the former Pumpkins bassist share text messages that reportedly revealed Corgan flip-flopping on his decision to invite her back into the band for their reunion - in a long interview with The New York Times.
In it, he says "I think what she did demonstrates why she couldn’t be involved. I was vulnerable and shared things and trusted that there was a reason to give it a chance, despite plenty of empirical evidence that that was not a wise decision.”
He added that that bridge had now been 'burned forever'.
Wretzky has not yet responded to his comments.
