Beyoncé has revealed that her upcoming new album will be titled '4'. The Record follows her smash hit 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' and features the current single 'Who Run The World (Girls)'.

The 'Single Ladies' singer took inspiration for the name from her fans, saying to Billboard.com, "I had a whole other name and concept, but I keep seeing that the fans love the name '4'and I think it would be a really nice thing to let them name the record."

She also added that the 4th was a date with particular significance for her. "It's the day I was born. My mother's birthday, and a lot of my friends' birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date."

Beyoncé will perform new material this summer at Glastonbury and Oxegen. '4' has no official release date as yet but is billed to hit shelves in June.
