US soundscapists Beach House have just announced an Irish date, 28th October in Vicar Street; and may I say a perfect choice of venue to enjoy their dreamy sounds.
Beach House released their 4th studio album Bloom last month to high critical acclaim, including a 4 star review from entertainment.ie's Paul Page . Bloom is the follow up to 2010's Teen Dream which really catapulted the Baltimore duo of Victoria Legrand & Alex Scally into the spotlight. Featuring gorgeously written songs and mesmerising soundscapes, Beach House have been at the forefront of the re-emergence of the "Dream Pop" genre alongside the likes of Panda Bear, The xx, Deerhunter, Animal Collective and the likes - owing much to the haunting vocals of Legrand, quite reminiscence in places of Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser and Toni Halliday of Curve fame.
Tickets for Beach House at Vicar St are priced a very reasonable €23 and go on sale from Friday June 8th from Ticketmaster.
