Azealia Banks, one of the fastest rising stars and most intriguing characters in rap music today, will play The Academy in Dublin on June 26th next.
Banks exploded on to the scene in late 2011 with her foul-mouthed hit '212' which is one of the most played cuts in clubs the world over. The following February, Banks played a blistering 17-minute set in Whelan's which was over almost before it began.
The New Yorker was then announced for a couple of Irish festival dates, both of which were eventually pulled, so next June's show will be a chance for something hopefully a bit more substantial than her last visit to these shores.
Tickets for the show will go on sale tomorrow, March 26th, at 9am priced at €22.90 from usual outlets nationwide.
