In recent years, you may have been made aware of a photograph featuring Axl Rose in a rather unflattering pose and not looking... well, let's say, he wasn't at his slimmest when it was taken.
The photo, taken mid-gig and depicting the Guns N' Roses frontman in 2010 pointing menacingly at the camera, became a meme known as 'Fat Axl' and spawned countless 'Sweet Pie o' Mine' and jokes about their album 'The Spaghetti Incident'.
Well, it seems that Rose is more than a little upset about it, as he is waging war against Google and demanding they remove the offending photos from their search engine.
He's issued a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice to the site, who have thus far failed to comment (or act on it). Rose has not specified his reasoning for the notice, but a quick search for 'Fat Axl meme' will best illustrate his anger.
Now that he's frontman of both AC/DC and Guns N' Roses and consequently back in the spotlight, it seems that he is willing to go to great lengths to preserve his dignity.
What he doesn't realise is that by making a big deal of it, he is just drawing attention to something that may have passed most people by - something that Barbra Streisand knows about all too well...
