It's been four years since she released her last album, but there's big news on the horizon for Avril Lavigne fans.
The Canadian pop star - who was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2015 - is making a comeback this year after signing a new record deal.
Having left Epic Records, her sixth album - as she shared on Twitter - will be released on BMG and is presumably set for release sometime this year.
Lavigne was most recently in the news for taking Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to task for having the temerity to slag off Nickelback, the band fronted by her ex-husband Chad Kroeger.
Watch the clip with her explaining her 'rebirth' and how her new music 'is a reflection of [her] journey over the last few years'.
Incredibly excited to be a part of the @BMG_US family & be working with them on the release of #AL6! So excited to share more with you guys! pic.twitter.com/vuwabdBUEm
