Hip hop mogul Dr. Dre has been named the richest music artist of the year by Forbes magazine, after earning a reported $110 million in the last 12 months. It's hardly surprising given the success of his Beats range which netted the majority of his millions.
But the list did throw up a few surprises. In an 'unbeliebable' turn of events Take That managed to beat Justin Bieber. The men from Manchester earned over $69 million between them, putting them in 5th place while the Canadian kid turned teen heart throb came in at number ten. Bieber's investment in Spotify helped him on his way to earning a cool $55 million in the year between May 2011 and May 2012.
The Irish influence hasn't waned either with U2 coming in at number 4 on the list with $78 million, just behind Elton John. Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney and Bon Jovi also feature. Check out the Top 25 in full:
