Bad start to the week if you're an R.E.M. fan - the band aren't planning to reunite at any point, according to frontman Michael Stipe.
R.E.M. split in 2011 after a career that spanned over thirty years.
Stipe made the comments on US TV show CBS This Morning on Saturday, saying "No. That will never happen… There's no point. I love those guys very much and I respect them hugely as musicians and as songwriters and everything but I just don’t want to do that thing that people do...I despise nostalgia. I'm not good at looking back."
He was on the show to promote R.E.M.'s new 6-DVD box set REMTV, so obviously has no problem looking back… on certain occasions.
