You may have recently picked up An Post's special edition Father Ted stamps - but if you're a U2 fan, you'll want to pay a visit to your local post office now, too.
Ireland's most famous rock band have been immortalised in stamp-form with a new set that spans several eras of their career.
The four-stamp set is titled ‘U2 – A Celebration 1976-2020’ and celebrates four albums from different periods: ‘The Joshua Tree’ (1987), ‘Achtung Baby’ (1991), ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ (2000), and ‘Songs of Experience’ (2017).
The booklet costs €5.40 and contains two N stamps (for national postage) and two W stamps (for worldwide postage).
For collectors, there's also a range of specially created stamp collectibles including: a First Day Cover envelope with an early photo (by Colm Henry) of the young Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton performing at Dublin’s legendary Dandelion Market, and a Souvenir Sheet featuring a special edition U2 360° Tour ‘panorama’ stamp set within a wider image (by Ralph Larmann) of the iconic stage in London’s Wembley Stadium.
They're all on sale from your local post office, or here.
