Adele's theme to the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall has been leaked to the web, or at least a portion of it has, and the initial reaction is good. Adele's 'Skyfall' follows the less-than-stellar Bond compositions of recent times, including Chris Cornell's 'You Know My Name' from Casino Royale and the languid Jack White and Alicia Keys duet 'Another Way To Die' from Quantum of Solace.

Bond fans have been praising Adele's effort as staying true to the conventions of a classic 007 song. Ajay Chowdhury, of the James Bond International Fan Club, told the Telegraph: "There are three types of Bond song - one is bold, brassy and sexy like 'Goldfinger', another is reflective and mournful like 'You Only Live Twice' and the third is anthemic and and adventurous like 'Live and Let Die'. Adele's song is very reflective and mournful. This 50th anniversary theme is Bondian, but very Adele."

Adele recorded 'Skyfall' at Abbey Road studios with a 77-piece orchestra and the track will get its first official play at 0.07am on Friday on Adele's official website.

Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mendes, will be released on October 26th.
