Given her worldwide success you could be forgiven for thinking that Adele wouldn't be one to suffer from stage fright. But the singer, who is set to perform at the Oscars, has been affected so badly with stage fright ahead of the ceremony, she has sought out help from a hypnotherapist.

Adele who is due to sing her James Bond theme 'Skyfall' at this year's ceremony has been getting intensive treatment to get over her fears. The Golden Globe award winner has been suffering from panic attacks and insomenia about the upcoming performance that she has been seeing a hynotherapist in LA a source told the The Sun newspaper 'A friend in LA recommended the hypnotherapist because Adele was getting so nervous about the gig. She has been rehearsing for the show with an orchestra, but all the preparation in the world isn't enough to keep her calm. She was so nervous before last year's Grammys that she was sick before going on stage. She doesn’t want a repeat of that'.

Adele, who has recently become a mum, is also up for Best Original Song category at the ceremony which is set to take place on the 24th February. Last month Adele scooped up the award for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.
