People across the globe are finding new ways to connect in the midst of the pandemic, but sometimes a Zoom call just doesn't go far enough.
Sometimes - especially now that there's no gigs or festivals taking place - you want to have a communal experience with your pals that involves music.
Luckily, Spotify have found a solution to that conundrum. Back in May, the digital music service introduced 'Group Sessions', a feature that allowed you to listen to music with your friends - the only sticking point was that you had to be in the same location.
Now, however, they have addressed that issue for the times that we live in - and you can now listen to playlists, albums, podcasts, whatever takes your fancy with anyone in any location.

The new update to 'Group Sessions' (which is still in beta testing) is available now, and here's how you can start a session:
- Open Spotify and play something.
- Tap at the bottom of the screen.
- Under Start a group Session tap START SESSION.
- Tap INVITE FRIENDS. Here you can: Share with any social or messaging app listed. Choose Copy Link to send your own way. Show them a Spotify code which they can scan to join.
Happy listening...
