Remember 'Smooth'? Released in 1999, guitar hero Carlos Santana's collaboration with Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas? Of course you do. And if you pretend not to know all of the words, you're only lying to yourself.
Well, the song has been given something of a new life after it was used during the dressage (i.e. dancing horses) tournament at the Olympics.
Spanish rider Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez and his horse Lorenzo competed in the competition yesterday, and the Internet subsequently went a bit nuts - even though they didn't rank highly enough for a medal, eventually finishing 5th. This was AFTER their performance had also segued into Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life' for the finale. There's just no pleasing some Olympic equestrian dressage judges.
Unfortunately the video in question is not online due to restrictions, but the Twitter reaction should surely conjure up just how magical a spectacle it was:

Disgusted that Spain only got 5th in the dressage. That horse Lorenzo dancing to Rob Thomas and Santana's Smooth was sublime

"My horse can run faster than other horses."
"My horse can dance to Smooth."
"Damn, yeah, you win."— Raddy (@raddystuition) August 15, 2016
If the horse who did dressage to Rob Thomas and Santana's Smooth doesn't win the gold the Olympics should be cancelled.

Watching a Horse dance to Smooth by Santana and it's probably the best thing I've ever seen on a TV ever.
