Did you get your fill of live music in 2017, or are you thirsty for more?

If one of your New Year's Resolutions is 'go to more gigs', there's good news: there's a hell of a lot of them on over the next 12 months.

Not only that, but some of music's biggest names are swinging by our direction – and these are just the ones that have been announced.

So get your calendar and red pen out and start circling these dates...

1. ALANIS MORISETTE @ Iveagh Gardens

Yes, it's true: the Canadian musician is headed our way and will play an outdoor show at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens on July 5th. She'll also play Cork's Live at the Marquee on July 4th.

*

2. BRUNO MARS @ Marlay Park

One of pop music's slickest souls will be wending his way to Marlay Park on July 12th for an 24k Magic outdoor extravaganza.

*

3. ED SHEERAN @ Dublin, Cork, Galway & Belfast

After a triumphant 2017, the biggest name in music right now will be doing a victory lap of stadiums and outdoor venues in 2018 – and that includes three nights at Dublin's Phoenix Park (May 16th, 18th, 19th), two nights at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork (May 4th, 5th, 6th), Belfast's Boucher Road (May 9th) and Galway's Pearse Stadium (May 12th, 13th).

*

4. TAYLOR SWIFT @ Croke Park

If her last Irish gig at Dublin's 3Arena is anything to go by, expect the stadium version of T-Swift to be even bigger, brighter and bolshier. She hits Croker on Friday, June 15th.

*

5. BECK & YEAH YEAH YEAHS @ 3Arena

This is a double bill to be reckoned with; either act could comfortably fill the 3Arena, but both together? The May 23rd gig is gonna be a winner.

*

6. ROGER WATERS @ 3Arena

The former Pink Floyd frontman brings his 'Us+Them' tour to Dublin and the reviews have been excellent. As always, expect both an audio and visual treat on June 26th and 27th.

*

7. MICHAEL BUBLE @ Croke Park

He's been through the mill over the last few years, but if there's one place Mickey Bubbles can expect a warm welcome, it's Ireland. He'll be crooning and charming his way around Croke Park on July 7th.

*

8. GORILLAZ @ Malahide Castle

Gorillaz are just one of several promising acts announced for Malahide Castle's 2018 gig series (Liam Gallagher and Kodaline being the others), but Damon Albarn's cartoon troupe always put on a good show. Expect a horde of special guests to join them on June 9th.

*

9. THE NATIONAL @ Donnybrook Stadium

Ireland loves The National; this is a fact. The Brooklyn band have been playing here since before anyone else cared about them, so their Donnybrook takeovers on June 15th and 16th are sure to be extra special.

 *

10. A-HA @ Live at the Marquee, Cork

We love a bit of '80s nostalgia and there's plenty coming our way in 2018, with the likes of Tears for Fears and The The pencilling in Irish dates. We reckon A-Ha's gig in Cork on June 12th, however, may be the most fun.
