Considering how most of the US election chatter in recent months has been focused on Donald Trump and Joe Biden, you might forget that there was a third candidate in the running.
Kanye West threw his hat into the ring earlier this year, when he declared his intention to run for President - although in recent months he has been rather quiet on the topic, leading many to believe that his interest had waned.
Now, however, just weeks before the November 3rd election, he has released his first campaign video which is heavily focused on religion. West is a devout Christian and has been very vocal about his faith in recent years.
"We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our Constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer,” he said, his image in front of a billowing black and white American flag. “Through prayer, faith can be restored. We as a people are called to a greater purpose than ourselves. We are not only a beacon to the world, but we should be servants to each other, to encourage each other, to help each other, to lift up each other, our fellow Americans, that we may all prosper together.”
There's one major problem with West's campaign; he's not even on the ballot in most states. Instead, he has urged voters to back him as a 'write in' candidate - i.e. where they physically write his name on their ballot. It's possible to win an election this way, too.
