Let's take a deep dive down into the world that once was all-consuming, One Direction. What are they all up to now, and who's been the most successful since their 2016 hiatus? Let's investigate.

Liam Payne

Estimated net worth: €52 million.

Being seen as the "Gary Barlow" of One Direction hasn't made too much of an impact on Payne. Having released a few singles since 2017, and then an EP in 2018, the singer has remained relatively quiet since. Presumably, he's been busy raising his son Bear with ex Cheryl Cole. He recently made an appearance at The BRIT Awards to present Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris with Best British Single; he himself was nominated for Best Video with Rita Ora, 'For You.'

Niall Horan

Estimated net worth: €52 million.

Mullingar's biggest export since Joe Dolan has had a world of success since going solo. Achieving what has admittedly been the most successful solo career out of all five of his bandmates, Horan's spending might have taken over, hence why he's not higher on the list. Nevertheless, he's still worth a hell of a lot of money.

He re-released his debut 'Flicker' with the RTE Orchestra last year, and made an appearance with Taylor Swift as part of her 'Reputation' tour. Here's his new collaboration with Julia Michaels, 'What a Time.'

Zayn Malik

Estimated net worth: €57 million.

Surprisingly, Zayn has been quite the success since leaving One Direction way back in May of 2015; four years on, and he's already released two albums. His latest release, 'Icarus Falls' didn't perform very well, only hitting 97 in the Irish albums chart (and 77 in the UK). It's a stark contrast to his debut which entered into the UK and US chart at number one (number two in Ireland). Alas, he's made a steady income with his lucrative modelling career, and was recently revealed as the new face of clothing brand Penshoppe.

Louis Tomlinson

Estimated net worth: €61 million.

Last we saw of Tomlinson, he was all across our screens on Saturday and Sunday nights on 'The X-Factor.' Wait... what do you mean you didn't watch it? Anyway, serving one singular series as a judge is all that amounted to the gig, as the talent show has reportedly finally been axed for good. Before this, he released a few collaborative singles, including ones with Bebe Rexha and Steve Aoki. According to his latest update on Instagram, he's currently working on some new music for 2019.

Harry Styles

Estimated net worth: €66 million.

Although he's probably only had one well known single, Styles has had the most successful career out of the lot. His self-titled album reached number one across the world, from Ireland, the US, and Canada, to the UK and Australia. However, the singer has also been dipping in and out of movies and TV in recent years. He made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' in 2017; and acted as Executive Producer on the semi-autobiographical US TV series 'Happy Together.'  The series only survived one season before being cancelled by CBS, but it does feature Aussie actor Felix Mallard, who looks strikingly like Styles.
