Little Mix broke BRIT Award history with their win

It's been a massive year for the band

Little Mix have been making headlines all year and last night they made history at the BRIT Awards.

Little Mix are officially the first-ever female band to win best British group at the music awards.

The trio looked fabulous at the ceremony in their white ensembles with Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards exhibiting baby bumps.

During their awards acceptance speech, they spoke about being together for 10 years and having "gone through so much, we've had so much fun, made so many beautiful memories."

They thanked their former bandmate Jesy Nelson early on in the speech.

Pinnock spoke about issues in the British music industry of "white male dominance, misogyny, sexism, and lack of diversity."

She added: "we're proud of how we've stuck together, stood our ground, surrounded ourselves with strong women, and are now using our voices more than ever."

Jade Thirlwall said that: "the fact that a girl band has never won this award really does speak volumes.

"So this award isn't just for us, it's for the Spice Girls, Sugababes, AllSaints, Girls Aloud, all of the incredible, incredible female fans, this one's for you."
