There's a new Kanye West album on the horizon, which means only one thing: Kanye is being Kanye.

Expect outlandish statements at every turn for the next few weeks as 'Jesus is King' prepares to be released.

The rapper's new 'Christian hip-hop' album was due out today after being pushed back by a month, but it seems that it's still not ready.

During a two-hour interview with Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show last night, West came out with the following statements:

On his newfound love of religion:

“Now that I’m in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me. I’ve spread a lot of things. There was a time I was letting you know what high fashion had done for me, I was letting you know what the Hennessy had done for me - but now I’m letting you know what Jesus has done for me. And in that, I’m no longer a slave, I’m a son now; a son of God. I’m free.”

On meeting Trump and wearing that MAGA hat:

"Give me an example where someone is saying what you’re not supposed to say. You don’t want to say it, do you, liberal? And no - I am unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time. It’s not even a question at this point. It’s just a fact. For the greatest artist in human existence to put a red hat on was God’s practical joke to all liberals. Like, ‘Nooo, not Kanye!'”

On his ambition to be President of the United States:

“There will be a time when I will be President of the United States and I will remember... any founder that didn’t have the capacity to understand culturally what we’re doing.”

On his sex addiction:

“With God, I’ve been able to beat things that had control over me. Some people drown themselves in drugs, I drowned myself in my addiction, sex.”

On asking people not to have premarital sex during the album's recording:

“I was asking people to not have premarital sex while working on the album… I thought if we could all focus and fast together, the power [could be] increased.”
