Jesy Nelson has released her debut solo single less than a year after quitting Little Mix.

The title of the single is 'Boyz' and Nicki Minaj joins Jesy Nelson for the song.

'Boyz' heavily samples the single 'Bad Boys For Life' from P Diddy.

The music video opens in 'Perfectville', a quiet suburban community, which is disrupted by the arrival of Jesy Nelson along with a number of her friends who have come to party.

They play golf, hang out in the pool, patrol the streets, and work out in front of the house.

At one point, next door neighbour P Diddy makes an appearance to complain when Jesy hits a golf ball through his window. He also welcomes her to the area.

According to reports, the release of the video was delayed by a number of weeks so the iconic rapper could appear in the video.

Harry James directs 'Boyz' with Alex White as producer and King O’Holi as choreographer.

Jesy Nelson previously spoke of being "really, truly unhappy" while in Little Mix.

She said she felt "trapped" in the group and that the opportunity to launch a solo career is "liberating."
