The Baby Driver director puts music at the heart and soul of all his movies.
If ever a movie was propelled forward and elevated by its soundtrack it was Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver which was nominated for two Grammys. The epic car chase scenes were complimented by Wright’s subtle choice of music which included renowned artists like Blur and Barry White and more eclectic tastes such as Kid Koala and Run the Jewels.
His earlier movies like Spaced and Hot Fuzz also featured soundtracks that brought the films to life. Remember the zombie getting beaten to the tune of Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen in Shaun of the Dead? He’s also directed music videos for Pharrell and Daft Punk.
Now he’s teamed up with Spotify to gather all his favourite moments in movie music into one banger filled playlist.
The good people at @Spotify ShowStopper asked me to come up with a playlist of my favourite moments in movie music. So here, for your listening pleasure are my Top 50 Favourite Movie Soundtrack Moments. Enjoy! https://t.co/9FaLos3OIo
