Earlier this year, Mayo musician Conor Walsh sadly passed away suddenly at the young age of 36.

A bursary in his name has been set up by the Hard Working Class Heroes festival, and the first recipients of it have been named as Dundalk band Elephant.

At the HWCH festival this year, all 100 acts on the bill were asked to vote for the act who "most embodies Conor's talent and bravery" and the folk-pop band have been awarded €2,500 towards recording or touring.

The dates for next year's HWCH have been revealed as September 28th, 29th and 30th, while all talks from this year's convention are now online here.
