Knowing me, knowing you, you're going to want to head over to London at some point in the near future for an ABBA-themed night to remember.
After nearly four decades apart, there's a lot of buzz surrounding the Swedish pop group today. The superstars have announced that an ABBA hologram tour will set up a residency in London from later this year until 2025, meaning we have plenty of time to catch a flight over to indulge in some cheesy bops.
According to The Sun, the immersive experience will be called 'ABBA Voyage', and will feature Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad performing as holograms of themselves (cleverly dubbed as "ABBA-tars") from when they were at their peak during the '70s and '80s.
A brief teaser video of the experience has been released online.
More details about the experience are expected to drop on September 2, but the ABBA hologram residency will most likely begin later this year. All four of the ABBA stars - all now in their 70s - will be in attendance for the opening show set to take place at a 3000 capacity venue in Olympic Park in East London.
But that's not the only ABBA-related news to be announced this week - after 39 years, they will finally be releasing new music. Next Friday, September 3, is when the quartet's new single will be dropping. For the past number of years, ABBA has teased their return to the studio for the recording of new material, so it seems that the wait is finally over.
