Awkward 16-year-old Nick Twisp meets the girl of his dreams while on holiday in a caravan park. When the time comes for him to return home, she advises him to become a rebel so he is sent away from his parents and he can move close to her. Nick adopts a bad-boy alter-ego to help him with his misdeeds, but it is not long before events begin to spiral out of control.
