Jerry Seinfeld directs, co-writes and stars in a comedy based on the real-life creation of an alternative to cereal and milk for American families. In the early 1960s, two companies - Kellogg's run by Edsel Kellogg III (Jim Gaffigan) and Post run by Marjorie Post (Amy Schumer) - monopolise the breakfast market. Post announces it has perfected the recipe for a fruit-filled pastry that can be cooked to perfection in a toaster. Kellogg's executive Bob Cabana (Seinfeld) joins forces with food innovator Donna Stankowski (Melissa McCarthy) to beat Post to market with a rival product that will eventually become the Pop Tart. The two companies jostle for supremacy and wreak havoc on interested parties including actor Thurl Ravenscroft (Hugh Grant), who voices Tony The Tiger
