A boy realises the evil goblins that his deceased grandfather used to speak of are in fact real. The youngster tries to warn those around him of the imminent danger, but unfortunately no one believes him. He is taken on a trip to the strange town of Nilbog, where he learns the creatures plan to turn his family into vegetables and eat them.
