The Old Winter

A historically based drama that takes a stand for farmers who never had the chance to own the land they worked, raised families on, and bled upon. Often, that same land would later be sold to outsiders and the landowners would become even wealthier, while the tenant farmers who had spent their lives working that land were left struggling to find a place to live and raise their families, often never having a chance to own any of it. In most cases, the land became subdivided. But, The Old Winter goes even deeper. It takes a look at how the hard, physical work amid the solitude of beautiful fields and pastures, created mature men, women, and children, strengthened their Christian spirituality and brought them closer to God.
