The New Girlfriend

Claire has just lost Laura, her best friend. Deeply depressed, she begins spending time with David, Laura's husband, whom she secretly loves. Following a dinner with Gilles, her husband, and David, where her feelings for the latter resurface, she shows up unannounced at his home. She discovers that the young widower dresses up as a woman. Is it a way for David to fill the gap left by the deceased? While he asks her not to say anything, she soon realizes that she can't keep her promise. As a quest of identity begins, Gilles starts suspecting his wife of having an affair with David. Based on the novel by Ruth Rendell.
