Govert Miereveld is a teacher in a girls school. He is married and has a happy family, but there is more than meets the eye. He's in love with one of his pupils, Fran. Years later, when Govert is asked to assist professor Mato in an autopsy, he meets Fran, who is now a famous actress, once again. When she, more or less, asks Govert to kill her, he shoots her. Dream or reality? Is Fran really dead?
