The Future of '36

Documentary exploring the obscure role of anarcho-syndicalism during the Spanish Civil War. Travelling through Spain, a young Belgian woman in search of her past, her future, through a part of Spanish history, through the social revolution of anarcho-syndicalists at the outset of the Civil War in Catalonia, 1936. A recent past - the great strike in the winter of 1960 in Belgium, May 1968, the feminist movement - her past, her parents' past, reflected and compared to the far future that she has found in Catalonia in 1936.
