The Escort

An Italian political thriller blazing with drama, suspense, and the signature sound of an Ennio Morricone score, "La Scorta" (The Bodyguards) is the story of justice and corruption in Sicily. After a judge and his bodyguard are murdered in the town of Trapani, while pursuing an investigation of the town's Mafia connections, a new judge is sent to take over the investigation. He's assigned four new bodyguards, all reluctant young cops with their own secrets, loyalties, and agendas. The judge and his bodyguards come to share a common bond in the face of the daily threat of car bombs and ambushes.
