An Australian Aborigine tribal elder leads an expedition in search of tree bark to make canoes. Among the group is his brother, whom he suspects of desiring the youngest of his three wives. To show him the error of his ways, he recounts an ancient legend of a man whose efforts to seduce a married woman ended in disaster.
